The Weekend That Wasn't

Sunday's slate of NFL games has me worn out, I haven't been that excited about football since my younger days (oh who I'm I kidding.) I had a choice to watch either Eli or Peyton Manning (Eli was in HD, while Peyton was not {*-_-*}), but me being the smart guy I'm switched between the two (also because CBS had the Saints/Jets [in HD] @3:00 and no DirectTv means I have to watch whatever FIXED SPORTS has on [and it's typically Saints games.].)

The Colts and Giants are looking good, the Saints are probably the best time in the NFL and all of NOLA (ok all of LA) is buzzing. Saints have the week off and Drew Brees won't be breaking Tom Brady's record.

The Twinkies and the Tiggers have a one game playoff to see who'll get to play the Yankees. I personally want the Twinkies because they have a team that can play PLAYOFF BASEBALL. That means manufacturing runs not by the home run. (And you thought I don't watch baseball.) BTW 3:15 CST (or 4 EST)p.m. on TBS don't miss it (unless you watch PTI, ATH, or anything else on TV, or you're not a fan of baseball.)

Red Sox and Angels will probably be the most intriguing (Red Sox beat the Halos the last five times they've played in the postseason [and that ball that Manny hit off Francisco Rodriguez is still flying.] Sox's might make it six in a row, but the Halos have the spirit of Nick Adenhart so Halos in 5.

The NL is too hard to tell mainly because all four teams can beat you offensively, defensively, and managing. When in doubt take the champs, who haven't looked that great the last few weeks. If Cole Hamles is right and Cliff Lee pitches as he did during the regular season, oh boy. St. Louis has the most dangerous hitter in MLB (MVP Alberto Pujols) and a cheater (Matt "Bald is Beautiful and I still haven't touched home plate yet"Holliday.) Look for them to be factors in their series.

No West Coast love for the Dodgers or Rockies. I love me some O-DAWG, Andre Either, and "The Truth" Chad Billingsley. My boy Tulo is looking like himself and I wish the Braves would have kept all of their pitching talent (Jason Marquis). The postseason is going to be awesome.

Oh boy, 11.10.09 can't come fast enough.

Speaking of fast enough

Yes, read that right. I almost dropped an F-BOMB when I saw that title.

Tomorrow, I plan on doing an in depth blog (i.e. top 10 list) and it involves Metallica, also some things about Uncharted 2 (which is 8 days away and I'll have it day one somewhere around noonish maybe sooner.) LOL @ me bragging.

Stay classy and remember the reviewer @ Gametrailers is a clown who knows NOTHING ABOUT VIDEO GAMES (i.e. the review for Uncharted 2, which they rated high.)

Later.
